Shark Week and the Return of Regularly Scheduled Blog Entries

Posted By Saba Shatara, Oct 1, 2012

Hello again King Hall community!

As you've probably seen (if you haven't been buried too deeply in your con law books), King Hall's Negotiations Team has been busy around campus working to increase awareness about alternative dispute resolution. Our primary venue for this never ending quest is the infamous Shark Week. This year we had distinguished speakers, including our own professors Donna Shestowsky and Edward Imwinkelried, as well as professor Greg Weber from Pacific McGeorge School of Law. Excitingly, KHNT board members Leah White, Saba Shatara, Kyle Junginger and Sean Newland gave a demonstration on negotiation strategy organized and lead by Kara DiBiasio. We are extremely grateful to our speakers and proud of our student members for their participation and efforts in making Shark Week a success.

With the completion of our first annual 1L competition, we wish to announce the return of our regularly scheduled blog entries. This collection of articles is comprised of student submissions from Professor Shestowsky's Advanced Negotiations and Client Counseling class. Most of these blog entries comment on recent papers written on ADR and negotiation methodology, and provide practical advice for practitioners and interested students.
