On September 29th, the King Hall Negotiations Team hosted the first annual 1L Intra-school Negotiations Competition. Sixteen first-year student teams competed in two rounds of preliminary negotiations. In each round, students negotiated a different legal problem and were evaluated by three judges, all of whom were 2L or 3L members of the King Hall Negotiations Team. This year’s topic, provided by the American Bar Association, was business associations. After the two rounds, the top four teams were announced and they competed in the afternoon final round.
Congratulations to the first place team, Alana Joyce ’15 & Alexandra Fulton ’15. Austin Cho ’15 & Graham Hoerauf ’15 took second place. Rounding out the finalists were teams Rebecca LaGrandeur ’15 & Katherine Lo ’15 and Andrew Alfonso ’15 & Hayes Hyde ’15.
