Posted By Graham Hoerauf, Sep 30, 2013
On September 21st, the King Hall Negotiations Team hosted the second annual 1L Negotiations Competition held at UC Davis School of Law. The event this year saw a record breaking turnout of forty first-year students competing in two rounds of preliminary negotiations. In each round, students negotiated a different legal problem and were evaluated by KHNT Board and Team Members, all of whom are second and third year law students. This year’s topic, provided by the American Bar Association, focused on Real Property. Following the two rounds, the top four teams were selected to compete in the afternoon final round. The competition was fierce this year and selecting the finalists was difficult, as there were several notable performances and strong negotiators throughout the competition.
