Luiz’s favorite thing about appellate advocacy is developing his public speaking skills, participating in competitions, and making new friends! This year, Luiz is excited to participate in the Jessup Competition as an assistant coach and the Immigration Law Clinic. In addition to MCHB, Luiz is the Chair of the Music, Arts and Media Law Society (MAMLS). Last summer, Luiz worked at Kronick Moskovitz Tiedemann & Girard, a full-service law firm. Luiz is originally from São Paulo, Brazil. He attended the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo in Brazil and not only has his Bachelor’s in Law, but is a licensed attorney in Brazil. He loves playing the guitar, dancing and reading poetry. Fun fact: Luiz is collecting vinyl! Last summer, Ping worked in Seyfarth Shaw’s San Francisco office, specifically in their labor and Employment department. In addition to MCHB, Ping is involved in APALSA. Ping attended Cornell Law School and has her LL.M. degree. Fun fact: Ping carries her mom’s family name! Luiz Varjao, lvarjao@ucdavis.edu Ping Wang, pnwang@ucdavis.edu
