Lena is excited to introduce a new cohort to moot court, which is her favorite thing she’s been able to do in law school! She loves the feeling of mastering an issue and bringing the judges around to her analysis. In addition to MCHB, Lena serves as a King Hall Admissions Ambassador. Last summer, Lena worked in the Criminal Division of the Attorney General’s Office in the Appeals, Writs, and Trials section. Lena has her degree in English from USC, and her MA in Literary Editing and Publishing from USC. Her hometown is Los Angeles, CA. Lena loves drawing and doing creative crafts that occupy her hands and let her brain rest. Fun fact: Lena was on the USC Fencing Team and competed nationally! Nolan’s favorite thing about appellate advocacy is getting to know new people! Last summer, Nolan worked at the San Diego City Attorney’s Office, working in Municipal Law. Nolan is a double Aggie and has his degree in Philosophy. His hometown is Vacaville, CA, but Nolan has lived all over the U.S., including Alaska, Washington D.C., and Kentucky. Nolan’s favorite hobbies include running, baking bread, and listening to podcasts about soccer tactics. Lena Foellmer, lfoellmer@ucdavis.edu Nolan Gerlach, ntgerlach@ucdavis.edu
