As September ends and we soon enter October, Julia is so excited for everything fall! Her favorite thing about appellate advocacy is seeing everyone’s growth as they develop their appellate advocacy skills. Outside of MCHB, Julia participates in the Environmental Law Society. Last summer, Julia worked for the California State Water Resources Board. Julia has her degree in Ecosystem Science and Sustainability from Colorado State University. Her hometown is Boise, Idaho. Julia’s favorite hobbies are yoga, hiking, baking, and rock climbing. Fun fact: Julia may possibly be a bee whisperer – she’s never been stung by a bee or a wasp! This semester, Jordan is excited to extern for the Environment and Natural Resources section of the California DOJ. Jordan used to have anxiety from public speaking, but appellate advocacy has substantially lessened her fear. A big plus is that MCHB is also a fun group! In addition to MCHB, Jordan is an ASP tutor and is getting her independent study legislative history research project published by Environs this coming spring! Last summer, Julia worked for Remy, Moose, Manley LLP in California Environmental and Land Use law. Jordan has her degree in Political Science from UCSB. Her hometown is Los Angeles, CA. Jordan’s favorite hobbies include reading, hiking and most recently, biking. Fun fact: Jordan rescued a dog over the summer and named him Maverick after the new Top Gun movie! We're always looking for practitioners and alumni to volunteer their time and expertise to our program! Contact Julia and Jordan if you're interested in helping out.
