Say hello to our Neumiller Competition Chairs for 2022-2023: Myra Farooqi and Milene Minassians!

Myra Farooqi

This semester, Myra is excited to compete externally for Moot Court and Mock Trial. Myra’s loves the exercise of thinking on her feet to answer questions in appellate advocacy. She also enjoys the real-life applicable experiences from Judge Mesiwala and the Supreme Court justices. In addition to MCHB, Myra is involved in Trial Practice Honors Board, the King Hall Negotiations Team, and MENASA. Last summer, Myra worked at Kirkland & Ellis in Corporate Litigation.

Myra’s hometown is Dana Point, CA. Myra has her degree in Political Science from UC Berkeley. Outside of law school, Myra loves going to concerts, trying new restaurants, long drives, cooking, and writing. Fun fact: Myra used to work with stand-up comedians!

Milene Minassians

Milene is super excited to enter her last year of law school! In appellate advocacy, Milene loves that everyone has an opportunity to work on their public speaking skills, which she believes becomes more fun the more you practice! Last summer, Milene worked at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher on a variety of cases, including appeals, land use, constitutional and environmental law.

Milene has her degree in Political Science from UC Berkeley. Milene is from Glendale, CA. Milene loves being a dog mom to her Australian shepherd, Freddie Mercury. Fun fact: Milene used to work in LA city politics prior to law school!
