Meet the 2022-2023 Board: Chair and Vice Chair

Meet Peter Hoffman and Meher Badia, our Moot Court Honors Board Chair and Vice Chair for 2022-2023!

Peter Hoffman, Chair

Peter is currently the Chair for MCHB. He’s excited to watch all our amazing 2L advocates develop their oral advocacy skills this year (and for the World Cup in November)! He loves a hot bench, as it’s easier to have a conversation about the law at issue with the judges when there are more questions. In addition to MCHB, Peter participates in FLSA and KHIPLA. He spent this most recent summer in Latham & Watkin’s SF office with their Patent Litigation team.

Peter is originally from Ossining, NY, and he graduated with his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. Outside of all things MCHB and law-school related, Peter could be found playing basketball, learning Italian, and eating. Fun fact: Peter met his fiance while they were on a salsa performance team!

Meher Badia, Vice Chair

Meher is our Vice Chair for MCHB this year. She is excited to see our 2L advocates develop their confidence and kill it at competitions! In addition to MCHB, Meher serves as the Vice President for the Business Law Society, President of MENASA-LSA, and as a Class Rep for LSA. Meher spent her 2L summer with Bowles & Verna LLP in their Commercial Litigation group.

Meher is from the Bay Area and loves to brunch. She graduated from New York University with her degrees in Politics, Business, and South Asian Studies.
