The APALSA Public Interest Scholarship is awarded to eligible 1Ls and 2Ls to help fund their full-time summer legal work in the public interest sector. The award amount varies subject to available funding. APALSA will formally present the scholarships at the annual APALSA banquet on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. Information on how to apply for the 2017 APALSA Scholarship will be available soon.
2016 Scholarship Recipients
Erika Watts ’18, who worked for the San Francisco Public Defender; Ken Wang ’18, who worked with the Legal Aid Society-Employment Law Center as part of their Disability Rights Program; and Masao Ito Taylor ’17, who worked for the Asian Law Caucus’ Immigrant Rights program.
