Katie is a third year law student and President of HALO.  She is also an Editor for Law Review,  on the Trial Practice Honors Board, and a member of the executive board for the King Hall Negotiations Team. An active member in HALO since her 1L year, Katie enjoys the opportunity to provide legal services to an underserved population. After law school, she hopes to obtain a position as  Public Defender.  In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, a glass of wine, and taking too many pictures of her dog. 

Holly is a third year law student  and the vice president of HALO. Holly is interested in a career in criminal appeals and post-conviction after graduation. In her spare time, Holly enjoys traveling, concerts, and hiking with her dog, Bailey. Holly has been involved in HALO since her first year and is grateful for her experiences.

Adam is a third year law student and the secretary and outreach chair of HALO. Adam grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, playing every sport he could and hanging out with his family. Adam got involved with HALO because he wanted to help people that were fighting and struggling to provide for their families. Adam's hobbies include sports writing, weight training, playing with his dogs and FaceTime calls with his nieces and nephew. 

Juli is a second year law student and is one of the co-trip chairs of HALO. Juli is currently pursuing a career in human rights law. In her free time, she enjoys live music and outdoor activities. She joined HALO because of the great work HALO does for underserved communities.

Kyle is a second year law student and is one of the co-trip chairs of HALO. Kyle is a native of Reno, Nevada. After graduating from Pomona College and some campaign/volunteer stints, he joined Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada and directed its immigration assistance program for four years. He lives in Davis with his partner, Audrey, and their son, Asher (2). HALO is a key part of the public-interest ethos at King Hall. We ensure strong attendance at selected lunchtime talks, recruit volunteers for service activities, and facilitate a week of legal aid in needy communities. And the payoff -- the HALO trip -- provides students with an ideal blend of service, sightseeing, and socializing!

Kelsey is a third year law student and the treasurer of HALO.

John Miller is a third year law student and is one the co-fundraising chairs of HALO. In addition to his work with HALO, John serves as the Research Chair for the King Hall Negotiations Team and Managing Editor for the Journal of International Law and Policy. John has been a member of HALO since his first year and partook in the organization’s spring break trip to San Antonio, Texas to help immigrant families in detention centers. John enjoys hiking, baseball, and board games. After receiving his J.D., John hopes to practice environmental law with a focus on energy law and the maritime industry. 

Jonathan Shim is a second year law student and is one of the co-fundraising chairs of HALO.
