Madison Schultz, Class of 2025
Chair

Madison is a second-year law student and the Chair of HALO. She strives to make HALO's volunteer opportunities accessible for all law students and to create meaningful and lasting partnerships with local organizations. In addition to HALO she is a member of Social Justice Law Review and the Family Protection Clinic. Outside of law school Madison likes baking, yoga, and listening to podcasts!

Jessica Shyong, Class of 2024
Volunteer Coordinator

Jessica is a second year law student and one of HALO's Organizations Coordinators. She is excited to be a part of HALO and passionately believes in providing legal aid to underserved communities. Jessica is also a student advocate in the Immigration Law Clinic and a board member of the King Hall Negotiations Team. In her free time, she enjoys attending pottery classes, playing with her cat, and watching movies.

Stephanie Ray, Class of 2023
Volunteer Coordinator

Stephanie is a third-year law student and Volunteer Coordinator of HALO. Before coming to law school. Stephanie worked as a peer counselor for young adults experiencing or at-risk of experiencing homelessness. She has loved being a part of HALO these past three years and continuing to work for traditionally underserved communities. Outside of law school and HALO, Stephanie loves to run 5ks with her friends and see all the latest movie releases.

Aaliayah McKnight Corcran, Class of 2023
3L Representative

Aaliayah McKnight Corcran is a 3L who has been involved with HALO since her first year at King Hall, and now serves as a 3L rep. Aaliayah is also a member of Black Law Student Association, one of LSA's Community Service Representatives, as well as a student advocate for the Family Protection and Legal Assistance Clinic. Throughout law school, she has worked as a pre-law advisor for undergraduate low-income, first generation, students of color. All these experiences have led to a meaningful time here at King Hall, and a passion for service.

2L Representative

My name is Anna Petrosyan, and I am a second-year law student at UC Davis. I am excited to be HALO's 2L representative for this year. I enjoy volunteering and being an advocate for underrepresented communities. During my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, reading, and going to work.

Christopher Holt, Class of 2025
1L Representative

Chris is a first-year law student and is a 1L Rep for H.A.L.O., as well as a 1L rep for Students Against Mass Incarceration (S.A.M.I.) He found his passion for serving underserved communities while working with ex-felons at a moving company. He is particularly passionate about criminal justice reform and non-incarceral punishment. His main interests are astrophysics, world history, and exercising at the gym.

Madeline Hahn-Smith, Class of 2025
1L Representative

 Mady is a first-year law student. She is excited to work with HALO to help support underserved and underrepresented communities. Mady is also on the board of If/When/How: Lawyers for Reproductive Justice and is a research editor for the Social Justice Law Review. She hopes to go into public interest law after graduation. In her free time, she loves hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter.

1L Representative

Erin is a first-year law student and 1L representative for HALO. Erin is passionate about criminal justice reform and rehabilitation work. Erin aspires to become a criminal defense attorney, and in her free time, she enjoys working out, traveling, and reading.

Jordan Porterfield, Class of 2025
1L Representative

Jordan is a first-year law student and 1L Rep for HALO. She is also a 1L Rep and Research and Current Events Chair for the Sex Worker's Advocacy Project. Jordan's ultimate goal as a lawyer is to represent survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Outside of school, Jordan enjoys baking and watching movies with her friends.

Heidi Bowles, Class of 2025
Media Coordinator

Heidi is a first-year law student and HALO’s media coordinator. She is also a student counselor in the Wage Claim Clinic, a research editor for the Journal of International Law and Policy, and a reprint editor for the Immigration and Nationality Law Review. Her passions include immigrant rights, reentry opportunities, and open access to scholarship and information. In her free time, Heidi enjoys cooking, reading fantasy novels, and spending time with her nephew.
